The farm lays directly on the Nicoya Peninsula. At a altitude of 400 meters It has a warm climate in a quiet, beautiful and rural community. The farm consists of about 40 hectares of mature Pochote trees from 20 to 35 years in age.
Most of the trees are in good condition and easily accessible by road. The farm also qualifies under the Reforestation Act of 1983 for carbon credits and has plenty of more hectares that can be planted with teak or other tropical hardwoods.
We chose Pochote because it’s indigenous to Costa Rica. The Farm will also includes my forestry engineer for the period of 1 year to help direct on the next series of planting or help in implementing the return of Carbon Credits should you choose not to cut the trees.
